Why I Created the Private Practice Launch Accelerator
Graduate school prepared me to become a therapist.
It did not prepare me to become a business owner.
I didn't inherit a successful private practice.
No one handed me a blueprint. I didn't have parents who owned a business or mentors showing me exactly how to build one. Like many therapists, I had to learn everything through experience—figuring out what worked, what didn't, and making plenty of mistakes along the way.
After more than 20 years of building my own private practice, supervising clinicians, and helping therapists transition into independent practice, I created the step-by-step system I wish I'd had when I started.
Over the years, I discovered that building a thriving private practice isn't about luck or having all the answers. It's about having the right roadmap, systems, and support to confidently make the transition.
As my practice grew, I began supervising and mentoring therapists who wanted to leave agency work and build practices of their own. Something unexpected happened. Even after supervision ended, many of them continued reaching out for consultation because they found the business strategies and guidance just as valuable as the clinical supervision.
Today, many of those therapists own successful private practices, generate sustainable incomes, and have built businesses that allow them to remain in private practice—not because they had extraordinary advantages, but because they learned how to build a strong foundation.
I didn't just teach them how to open a private practice—I taught them how to build a business that supports the life they want to live.
I taught them how to think like business owners.
How to value their expertise.
How to charge fees that reflect the quality of their work.
How to operate ethically.
And, most importantly, how to build a business they could confidently sustain long after our work together ended.
I often say that my goal isn't to hand you a fish.
It's to teach you how to fish.
Because when you understand the systems behind a successful private practice, you don't have to rely on guesswork, luck, or someone else to build the career you've always wanted.
I don't believe therapists need another business course. I believe they need a roadmap, proven systems, and guidance from someone who has successfully walked the path before them.
That's why I created the Private Practice Launch Accelerator.
I don't believe success in private practice should depend on luck, connections, or years of expensive trial and error. I believe every therapist deserves a clear roadmap for building a thriving, ethical, and financially sustainable practice.
If you're ready to stop wondering whether you can build a successful private practice—and start building one with confidence—I would be honored to help you take that journey.
